Suicide awareness and healing are important to me for a few very personal reasons. Primarily, I have my own lived experience with mental health and am very aware of how dark life can seem and how alone people who are struggling can feel. Also, as a survivor of my brother’s suicide, I know how it feels on the other side of the experience, with all the emotions and questions that one is left with.
